Sourcing policy
Every article is drafted originally from independently researched source material. We do not republish or lightly rewrite other outlets' copy. Figures, dates and quotations are checked against primary documents — institutional reports, official statistics and on-record statements — and each story ends with the sources used, so any reader can verify the claims themselves.
Where a story is still moving, we say so and state what has not yet been confirmed.
The provenance key
Every headline carries a label describing how the piece was produced.
- Primary SourceBuilt directly on an official document, dataset or filing.
- Verified ReportingConfirmed against multiple credible independent outlets.
- AnalysisInterpretation and context, clearly separated from the facts.
- OpinionAn argued position by a named desk or contributor.
- DevelopingAn active story that will be updated as facts are confirmed.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it on the article itself and note what changed and when. Substantial updates to a developing story are dated. To report an error, contact the editorial desk with the article title and the specific claim in question.
